In 2007 we compiled interesting data on patients injured in accidents when driving the off road driving vehicles referred to as the “Rhino-Rocket”. While I consider research to be very important in guiding us where we need to go and discover new ways of doing things but patient quality of care is always foremost in my mind. Extra-Curricular I study emerging technologies such as Harmonic Blade, Plasma Blade etc and see how they improve patient recovery and outcomes and then teach students, residents and Peers. I am a Licensed Psychologist with an office location in Lakewood, Colorado. My practice offers psychotherapy and psychological evaluation for adults. Areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, stress management, sleep disorders, health behavior change, and adjustment to chronic illness or injury. My therapeutic approach involves the exploration of beliefs and emotions that clients have about themselves and their life experiences. While sharing emotional and situational distress in a non-judgmental environment, clients are assisted in seeing their experiences from different perspectives and generating alternate beliefs and feelings about themselves and their lives. Skill building is provided to assist with putting new perspectives into action that lead toward wellness. I received my undergraduate degrees at Queen’s University and York University in Ontario, Canada. My doctoral degree is in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University, and I completed internship at the VA Medical Center in Northport, New York. Post-doctoral fellowship training in Primary Care Health Psychology was completed at a Michigan State University affiliated family medicine residency. Prior to independent practice, I provided behavioral science education and therapy at the Swedish Family Medicine Residency in Littleton.
